Jennifer “Maggie” Lovin, M.D

Dr. Lovin is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and attended the University of Georgia where she earned dual degrees in Biology and Spanish. She went on to attend the Medical College of Georgia and graduated with honors. She then completed a residency in urologic surgery at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. During residency, her accomplishments included an IVU medical mission trip to Mongolia and participation in the AUA quiz bowl team. She went on to complete a pediatric urology fellowship with advanced training in robotic surgery at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta/Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to clinical work, her research on robotics, neurogenic bladder and posterior urethral valves has earned accolades at national meetings and her research has been published in numerous peer reviewed journals. She is a member of the American Urological Association, Societies of Pediatric Urology and American Academy of Pediatrics Urology Section. She remains engaged in clinical research and is a reviewer for the Urology journal. Her areas of interest include posterior urethral valves, reconstructive surgery, and robotics. Dr. Lovin lives in Charlotte with her husband and daughter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. She speaks English and Spanish. Dr. Lovin is currently accepting new patients and looking forward to working with you.

Heather Gaddy, FNP 

Heather is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  She graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2001.  She spent 13 years working at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center and has extensive experience working in mother/infant care, neonatal intensive care, lactation and gynecology.  She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing From Graceland University in 2014. She joined Pediatric Urology Associates in 2015.  Heather is the mother of two children and she is a lifelong resident of North Carolina

Jayme Alberssen, CPNP

Jayme earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Florida.  She spent considerable time working on the Pediatric floor and Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit as a nurse prior to be being admitted to the Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Florida.  She has had extensive experience with pediatric patients having worked at SHANDS at the University of Florida as a Nurse.  Since moving to Charlotte and beginning work as a Nurse Practitioner, she has worked at Indian Trail Pediatrics and Charlotte Pediatric Clinic.  She currently also works at Hemby Childrens Hospitalist Service and joined Pediatric Urology Associates in August of 2010. 

Joe Molitierno, Jr. , M.D. 

Clinical Director

Dr. Molitierno grew up in Punxsutawney, PA and attended the University of Pittsburgh as an undergraduate where he studied molecular biology and biochemistry and graduated with honors. He then moved to North Carolina where he worked as a researcher and manager in the University of North Carolina's Human Gene Therapy Center before his admission to the University of North Carolina Medical School. While at UNC he was named to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He remained at the University of North Carolina for his urologic surgery residency, earning multiple awards for his outstanding service. Dr. Molitierno then travelled to Atlanta to complete his Pediatric Urology Fellowship training at Emory University: Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.  Dr. Molitierno moved to Charlotte in 2007 and joined Pediatric Urology Associates. He is board certified in urology by the American Board of Urology and has earned the subspecialty certification in Pediatric Urology.

Jay Levy, M.D. 

Managing Director

Dr. Levy was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where he attended the University of Texas as an undergraduate from which he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School where graduated with honors and was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.  He then completed his urologic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania where he spent a great deal of his training at the renowned Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Dr. Levy then completed his pediatric urology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Upon completion of his training he moved to Charlotte in 1996 and subsequently established Pediatric Urology Associates. He is board certified in Urology by the American Board of Urology and has also earned the subspecialty certification in Pediatric Urology.
